Are you a person of color that has tried to trace his or her family roots using the internet and have come up with nothing to show for it? Do you find that there are no records about your family or anyone that you know on any online genealogical websites? We-Are-Connected.org is a website that was created for the customer like you. Our online database is geared especially for people of color and the special problems they encounter while tracing their family tree pre-1870.

What We Do

Our database has records such as probate, marriage records, birth records, death records, delayed birth and death records, and deeds pertaining to people of color; Our database includes photocopies of primary sources which are necessary to connect the ancestors of the present to the ancestors of the past. We believe that because our database contains records that people of color need to complete family histories and that our records will not be found on other genealogical websites that charge a fee for access to specific primary sources and those that depend on volunteers to submit genealogical records.
