The “Land und Leute” association in Röbel in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has been organizing German-Israeli youth exchange programs for over a decade. Since 2007, more than 50 encounters with over 1,200 young people from both countries have taken place. After October 7, Managing Director Dr. Robert Kreibig did not hesitate for a second to offer the "Engelscher Hof" clubhouse for use to the long-standing partner "Free Spirit Experience" from Kibbutz Hazorea in Israel.

“Free Spirit” normally offers young-adult and teen programs year-round, including a meaningful and fun summer program, a gap-year program in two semesters, and rolling admission programs for the unexpected crisis. Currently “Free Spirit” dedicates their expertise and campus to survivors of the October 7 attacks.
