Zeitlupe Association and Keshet NGO Host Solidarity Event “Hopes Lives On”
Zeitlupe association from Germany and the Israeli NGO Keshet hosted the solidarity event “Hopes Lives On” together on December 6, 2023 to provide an insight into life after October 7. In an interview with Efka and Nadav, both members of Keshet in Mitzpe Ramon, southern Israel, you could get an impression of the breathtaking nature in the Negev Desert, which their Israeli friends are fighting to keep untouched. They have also been working there for years to promote peaceful coexistence between Jewish, Muslim and Bedouin life. Now, after the horror of October 7, they are doing it all the more. 3,000 refugees are being cared for and integrated and the army that protects the country is being supported. They are not giving up hope.
Ezry cited Europe as a role model. Hundreds of millions of people suffered and died in Europe during the two world wars. Now countries that were enemies at the time live side by side as friends and solve problems peacefully. This gives Ezry hope that there can also be peaceful coexistence between different groups of people in the Middle East through education and commitment.
In the end of the event the hosts suggested concrete opportunities how to support the projects in Mitzpe Ramon financially.
