Invitation: WE ARE CONNECTED. German-Israeli Youth Exchange Setting Signs of Hope
More than two years after October 7 and the ensuing war, a ceasefire is finally in place and more and more partnerships are planning programs in Israel again. ConAct cordially invites you to participate in the “Signs of Hope” program which is aimed at professionals who would like to organize youth and professional programs in Israel again soon. The aim is to get to know Israel anew after the past two years and to be able to better understand current developments. On site, we want to talk to people who can provide insights into social and political processes:
- How is Israeli society doing today?
- Which developments are particularly relevant?
- What challenges does youth and education work face?
- What are the consequences for exchange and encounter?
Program
The program includes discussions with experts in Israeli youth and education work, remembrance work, and other social areas. One day is planned as a joint seminar day with the partner organizations for exchange. In addition, visits to border regions with the Gaza Strip and encounters with communities directly affected by the war are planned.
Date
The program begins on February 21, 2026, with a mandatory preparatory seminar near the airport (Frankfurt or Berlin). The return flight on February 27, 2026, is possible to various locations in Germany. It is possible to extend your stay by up to four days – at your own risk and organized independently.
Participants and conditions of participation
The specialist program is aimed at those responsible for German-Israeli youth and professional exchanges who are planning exchange projects for the coming year 2026. The participation fee is 300 Euro and includes flight and travel costs, accommodation, full board, and the program. A passport valid for at least six months is required.
Safety
